At schools all around the country, Thai students took part in special ceremonies to mark the King’s Birthday which is on Saturday 5th December 2009. The pictures illustrated here were taken this morning at Sriwittayapaknam School. The celebrations were marked with traditional Thai dances and songs honouring the King. The fathers of some students also came to the school so that the students could  prostrate at their feet. The King is regarded as father to all Thai people, so his birthday is also known as National Father’s Day. In the picture below, the students are showing their love for their father.

โรงเรียนทั่วประเทศได้จัดพิธีถวายพระพรชัยมงคล เนื่องในวันเฉลิมพระชนมพรรษาพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวฯ เช่นเดียวกับโรงเรียนของเราก็ได้จัดพิธีถวายพระพรชัยมงคลและวันพ่อแห่งชาติ โดยนักเรียนได้รำถวายพระพร มีการแสดงของนักเรียนป.5  เกี่ยวกับความรักของลูกที่มีต่อพ่อ และตัวแทนนักเรียนแต่ละระดับชั้นได้กราบคุณพ่อและมอบการ์ดวันพ่อให้กับคุณพ่อ  จากนั้นมีการร้องเพลงเกี่ยวกับพ่อเป็นภาษาจีนและภาษาไทยด้วย

นักเรียนชั้นป.3/4  ทดลองวิทยาศาสตร์เกี่ยวการละลายของสาร โดยนำน้ำตาล เกลือ และกาแฟมาละลายในน้ำ แล้วสังเกตการเปลี่ยนสถานะของสารเมื่อผสมน้ำและลองชิมด้วย

พี่ๆจากบริษัทนมตรามะลิจัดกิจกรรมให้น้องๆป.2-3 มีการตอบคำถามและแข่งขันวาดรูป พร้อมทั้งแจกนมตรามะลิคนละ 1 กล่องพร้อมขนมปังกรอบราดนมข้นตรามะลิด้วย

นักเรียนชั้นป.6/5 กำลังเรียนวิธีการต่อวงจรไฟฟ้าในชั่วโมงวิทยาศาสตร์

สมุทรปราการ เอฟซี ลงแข่งนัดสุดท้าย กับ นราธิวาส เอฟซี ในระบบมินิลีกหาทีมเลื่อนชั้นสู่ ดิวิชั่น 1 โดย สมุทรปราการ เอฟซี ต้องการผลชนะเพียงสถานเดียวเพื่อคว้าโควต้าสุดท้าย เกมนี้เป็นฝ่ายนราธิวาส เอฟซี ที่เล่นได้ดีกว่าและมีโอกาสทำประตูมากกว่า แต่ไม่มีทีมใดยิงประตูกันได้ เสมอกันไป 0-0 ทำให้นราธิวาส เอฟซีคว้าสิทธิ์เลื่อนชั้นไปเล่นดิวิชั่น 1 ในฤดูกาลหน้า โดย ในระหว่างเกมมีความวุ่นวายเกิดขึ้น เมื่อกองเชียร์นิรนามของสมุทรปราการคนหนึ่ง จุดพลุลงไปในสนาม และสะเก็ดพลุได้ไปโดนผู้เล่นสมุทรปราการ ทำให้ผู้ตัดสินต้องเป่าหยุดเกมชั่วคราว และเจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจสามารถจับตัวชายแฟนบอลนิรนามคนนั้นและนำตัวไปโรงพัก เพื่อดำเนินคดีต่อไป

The final match of the season took place on Sunday 29th November 2009 at Bang MOD Stadium in Bangkok. The match was between Samut Prakan FC and Narathiwat FC. The final score was 0-0. As Narathiwat FC had more points from the season, they will be promoted to Division 1 next year. The match was marred by fireworks and water bottles being thrown onto the pitch by Samut Prakan supporters. One of the Samut Prakan team members was slightly injured by the firework. One of the supporters was arrested for allegedly launching the firework and taken to the police station.
