ACTIVITIES
During the year a number
of activities are organised for the students. Some of these are
regular weekly activities whilst others are only held once a year.
Chess
Club The students are keen players of both Thai Chess and
World Chess. They can play in the Chess Club at lunch time on
boards and on computers. Twice a year chess tournaments are held.
Stamp Club One of the most popular hobbies
among the students is stamp collecting. During the meetings students
can buy new and used stamps and take part in competitions.
Computer Club All of the students
study computer at least once a week. They can also go up to the
computer center at lunch time to take part in club activities
or do homework

Aerobic
Competition Once a year aerobic competitions are held between
classes.

I.Q. 180 Every tuesday
morning, students take part in a quiz in order to test their intelligence.
This is not compulsory but the majority of the students do take
part. Everyone who gets the answer right has their name pinned
up on the noticeboard. The first two students in every class who
get the answer right, wear an "I.Q. 180" badge for the
day. If they manage to do this at least twice in one term then
they can join the exclusive I.Q. Club.
Sport's
Day During the year a number of different tournaments are
held. Basketball and Football are popular competitions amongst
all the students. Also, we have a traditional Thai Sport's Day
towards the end of the year.
Student
Elections Towards the start of the term, elections were held
to vote for the Head Boy/Head Girl.
Recycle
The students are very concerned about environmental matters. Around
the school there are special trash bins to help aid recycling.
Also, each classroom has a special wastepaper basket. At 3.10
p.m. every day, the duty students from each class take down any
waste paper they do not need for recycling. This is then sold
and the money made is used for other activities.
Science Week A number
of activities are organised during the week to celebrate national
Science Week.

and walking on coconut are some of the traditional Thai games

Kru Once a year, a special ceremony is held for the students
to pay respects to their teachers and to thank them for being
good teachers.

Day The Queen's birthday is also celebrated as Mother's Day.
At school special ceremonies are held to mark this event. The
students take part in writing and drawing competitions.
Scout
Day On the anniversary of the formation of Scouts in Thailand,
students from our school took part in a parade.

Songkran
Festival, April 12-15, is the traditional Thai New Year.
Sunthorn
Phu Day A celebration of Thailand's most famous poet. A writing
competition is held for the students.

Day Every year, on the second Saturday in January, the country
celebrates the youth by holding a National Children' Day.
